Asian Civilisations Museum_15th Nov 04
Made a trip down to the ACM on the 15th especially to see the Ottoman Sultans Exhibition, which is a special exhibition on the Ottoman Empire from Turkey which lasts till 5th Dec. It was the Museums Open House on the 14th n 15th Nov, due to the Hari Raya holiday, so made it a point to go down after my project meeting. Yes, I actually met up with my group at Alexandra Hospital to do some stupid filming for my Final Year Project. It’s a total waste of time… So much politics involved with the school lecturers to get this bloody project done. Sighz…
Alrite, all tt aside, just wanna urge u guys, esp those who r interested in the ancient history of the region ie. South-east Asia and South Asia, but yet dun have the time to go overseas, the ACM is a great place for u to relish in the culture and history with their many artifacts in the newly restored 3-storey colonial building! I was surprised to find that it was HUGE…. N spacious… n the no. of artifacts was amazing! U can simply spend one whole day there if u r going to scrutinize every single item and write-up! Spacious due to the fact that it used to be some building built by the British for some purposes which I din find out… Well, u can tell me after u visited it! I went there esp for the Ottoman exhibition, so din have the time to look closely at the other levels… Just a couple of photos that I have taken inside the building.
